ASAP SERVICE RATES

Why Choose ASAP?

At ASAP Stump Grinding, we prioritize thorough removal for your safety and landscape health:

  • We grind stumps well below ground level, not just surface-deep like some cheaper services.
  • This prevents termite infestations and allows for new planting.
  • Our process includes assessment, proper equipment setup, and debris cleaning.

Why Larger Stumps Cost More to Remove?

A small increase in stump size can lead to a big jump in removal cost.

Here's why:

When a stump's radius grows from 50cm to 75cm, it's a 150% increase. This results in a 525% increase in area.

The 75cm stump has five times more wood volume than the 50cm one.

Consequently, larger stumps require much more time and effort to remove due to their greatly increased wood volume.

The Stump Grinding Process

✔️Assessment and preparation:

Assess the stump's size, location, and surrounding obstacles before grinding.

✔️Setting up the stump grinder:

Position the stump grinder near the stump, adjust the cutting wheel, and ensure safety measures are in place.

✔️Grinding the stump:

The grinding begins as the cutting wheel spins over the stump, turning it into wood chips. This continues until the entire stump, including roots, is ground below ground level.

✔️Clearing the debris:

Stump grinding produces wood chips or mulch. These can be used in your garden or removed. Clear any remaining debris for a tidy finish.

Why the $300 Cost Minimum?

  1. We provide a much more thorough service than most companies, we take the time to explain the process, we do not do final quotes from photos, we provide in person quotes.
  2. Our machines have a replacement value of over $280,000, maintenance is expensive, our grinding teeth are made of tungsten, they damage easily around rocks, concrete and stumps engrained with dirt, they are expensive to replace.
  3. We have insurance, $20m Public Liability, we also have SWMS in place “Safety Work Method Statements” which we have implemented to ensure we are doing the stump grinding work safely and can provide the very best service possible, but can also provide all information in case of issues that arise, not just jump in the car and leave.
  4. We provide a Terms and Conditions before every job, to ensure that you as the customer and we as the service provider as both covered in an event of a mishap, ie services destroyed
  5. We invest in advertising, over the years, we have spent 10’s of $1000’s of dollars on advertising and promoting our company, if you find someone on Facebook Marketplace or Hi Pages, there’s a huge chance they are providing a much inferior service, are uninsured and are there to make a quick buck and leave.
  6. As everyone is aware, the Gold Coast and areas roads are extremely busy, we spend a lot of time of our day in traffic. If we have provided an in person quote, that means we have spent time twice in traffic to provide our service, all these costs add up.
  7. Our work speaks for itself, Experience. Efficiency. Cleanliness. Thoroughness. Most 5 Star reviews. Professionalism. Full Teeth Smiles

FAQ’s on Pricing

  • I’ve received a quote for half of your price, why are they so much cheaper and why shouldn’t I accept there quote?

The cheaper quote will have a number of factors, they most likely have much cheaper equipment, which means they will do inferior work such as just grinding down to ground level and kicking the grinding mulch over the stump, then when you uncover the stump to replant or clear the area they will not return to do the job properly. They also will not clean up after the job, they will grind and go.

  • I’ve been quoted a cheaper price off photos, will you do the same to save me money?

No, we will provide you a ball park figure from photo’s only, then if you’re happy with this approximate budget we will provide an in person quote at our earliest convenience. If you’ve been provided an official quote off photo’s without knowing the full extent of the work required including them knowing where your services are, windows that can break or any other issues that can arise, you are taking a very big risk. Plus, you need to meet them in person to make sure they have all there teeth.

  • Is it $300 for every stump?

No. It may be $300 for up to 10 stumps if they are small ones, if access is good and they are soft stumps.
